Educational and consulting center of the Ural Institute of Economics, Management and Law was opened in Kurgan in 1995. Later in 1997, the educational and consulting center was reorganized into Kurgan branch of the Institute.
Kurgan branch was the first trans-Ural institute of higher education with legal training. Today the Ural Institute of Economics, Management and Law in Kurgan Oblast is the only institute of higher education where law students study not only law but also economics and students of the faculty of economics have legal training. Thus, they will be able to make a successful career in the sphere of entrepreneurship, trade business and public service. The graduating students will easily find a job or set up in business.
Today the wholesale trade as well as retail trade actively develops. The only trans-Ural institute of specialists training in the sphere of economics and management at enterprise of trade and public catering is the Ural Institute of Economics, Management and Law.
Our Institute represents the Ural law school. Our graduating students are in demand not only in the Ural Federal Region but also in the Russian Federation.

The Institute has a postgraduate course of the following specialties:
Administrative Law, Finance Law, Information Law, Economic Theory.
At Kurgan branch, students can get the second higher education in the spheres of Jurisprudence, Economy and Management at Enterprise (trade and public catering). Students who have graduated from secondary special educational institutions and have professional education of the Institute’s specialization study according to individual schedule (accelerated program).
Kurgan branch has departments of the humanities, economic and legal disciplines.
